Job Description Overview:
The Ariba Senior Consultant is charged with customer focused delivery and Ariba solution expertise. The Senior Consultant is responsible for delivering sound, high quality deliverables on time and within budget. The Senior Consultants are focused on the rapid transformation of client organizations into world-class managers of spend, through innovative, high-quality, global, Spend Management Solutions that create sustainable bottom-line results.
As a member of the Software Implementation Team, the Senior Consultant serves as Ariba Solutions expert on application functionality and technical requirements. He/or she is responsible for effectively applying our SMART Methodology: Plan, Design, Build, Deploy and Evolve to meet customer needs within the realm and scope of the Statement of Work (SOW). Senior Consultants can work on all aspects of the implementation process including participation in the sales process in developing scope of work and requirements gathering, managing the client relationship, project management, and coordinating technical resources. Our current Sr. Consultant needs are technical in nature, therefore, previous experience with the technical aspects of implementing the Ariba solutions or our primary building blocks of java and xml are important.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Consulting or software application experience at either a Big 4-type or boutique firm preferred
• Ariba Spend Management solutions experience (Procurement, Sourcing, and Supply Chain) strongly preferred
• Experience as part of a project team with proven ability to achieve positive results for the customer
• Experience identifying potential customer project roadblocks and providing solutions to the customer and management to resolve
• Experience with multiple full life-cycles of a consulting experience / solution implementation
• Previous experience designing and delivering procurement-specific projects
• Previous experience with software applications such as: Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, and object-oriented programming languages (ideally java)

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3+ years of work experience in a consulting or corporate environment
• Ability to travel up to 80%
